Delete your mAISpace account

This page is for the app mAISpace on iOS, Android and the web, made by Personal Evolution LLC. You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from inside the app.

How to delete it in the app

  1. Open mAIAccountSign in, open the menu at the top of the app and tap mAIAccount.
  2. Open AdvancedScroll to the very end of the page and tap Advanced.
  3. Tap Delete accountIt sits under Danger zone.
  4. Download everything first (optional)Tap Download everything to save one file with your journal, letters, messages, moments and lists. Once the account is gone there is no copy we can send you.
  5. Choose what happens to what you wrotePick Leave my words with my circles or Erase everything I wrote. Both are explained below.
  6. ConfirmType DELETE and tap the red button. Your account is deleted right away. This cannot be undone.

Deleted either way

  • Your account and your way of signing in
  • Your profile, name and mAITag
  • Your phone number and email address
  • Your private journal, your products and the things you saved for yourself
  • Who you follow, and your place in each circle
  • Your photo files that nothing kept in a circle still uses

Circles you started are not deleted for everyone else: they stay for the people in them, and another member looks after each one.

What you wrote and the photos you shared in your circles stay, under your name with a quiet “left mAISpace” mark, so your family keeps your messages, moments and stories. Trips, events, lists and capsules you made pass to the circle.

Erase everything I wrote

Your messages, moments and the photos posted with them, the photos you added to trip and event albums, comments, shared journal entries, memories, answers and the letters you still keep are deleted too. Trips, events, lists and capsules you made still pass to the circle, so the family keeps its plans.

Keep a copy first

Before you delete, you can download everything you wrote as one file: use Download everything in the delete steps, or Download my data on mAIAccount any time.

How long anything stays

Deletion happens as soon as you confirm. Deleted data may stay for a limited time in backups and system logs kept by us and the services we use to run mAISpace, until those copies are cleared. We never use them to bring an account back.

Can't sign in?

Email support@maispace.net from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number you sign in with. Say whether you want to leave your words or erase everything. We may ask you to confirm it is really you before we delete anything, and we will write back when it is done. We usually reply within 2 days.
